Our History

Russellville Steel Company, Inc. has been in existence since September 1965. H. W. Mitchener and John Trusty purchased the company as it is known today in June 1971.

The company is primarily engaged in fabrication of steel for industrial and commercial building components, and provides material throughout the forty-eight contiguous states. The company functions as a material supplier to general construction contractors, who actually perform the erection and other aspects of the projects.

Throughout its history, Russellville Steel Company's product has been structural and miscellaneous steel, with fabrication of the products occurring at Russellville Steel Company's Russellville, Arkansas facility. Russellville Steel Company has maintained its current location at 280 Steel City Lane since 1972. The business location sits on approximately 40 acres parallel to Interstate 40 and is easily accessible for product shipment. Over time, Russellville Steel Company's core customer base has remained steady, comprised mostly of contractors engaged in construction of commercial structures for which Russellville Steel Company functions as a material supplier. Typically, Russellville Steel Company processes orders for 135 projects per year.

From 1971 to 1994, H. W. Mitchener and John Trusty primarily managed Russellville Steel Company. However, in 1994, Mr. Trusty unexpectedly passed away. After Mr. Trusty's untimely death, Mr. Mitchener actively managed the company, cultivating a management team to assist in overseeing general business activities, sales, facility operations and supervision of Russellville Steel Company's workforce. In 2004, Mr. Mitchener retired from the company after more than 45 years of service to Russellville Steel Company . Since that time, Trish Henry and Chris Knoles have acquired ownership of the company and serve as its present executive management team.
